Broiled Marinated Chuck Steak

3/4 c. soy sauce
1/4 c. white vinegar
3 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/4 c. packed brown sugar
2 tbsp. salad oil
1 tsp. ground ginger
1 (2 1/2 to 3 lb.) chuck steak

About 5 hours ahead: In 13 x 9 glass pan, combine all ingredients. Add chuck steak and turn to coat. Cover and let meat marinate about 1 hour, turning occasionally.
About 1 hour before serving, preheat broiler; place steak on rack in broiling pan (reserve marinade). Broil steak until of desired doneness, brushing frequently with marinade and turning once. Serves 4.
